Vijay Sethupathi's latest film, Maharaja, has surpassed Rs 50 crores at the worldwide box office. Directed by Nithilan Saminathan, this crime drama is Sethupathi's 50th film.
Passion Studios, the co-producer, announced on social media that Maharaja has grossed over Rs 55.8 crores globally in just six days.
They celebrated the film's success, stating, "Maharaja shattering records with a lightning-fast 55.8+ crores globally in 6 days."
Nithilan also penned the dialogues for the film alongside Raam Murali. The cast includes Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, and Natty Natraj in pivotal roles, with supporting performances from Abhirami, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Boys Manikandan, Singam Puli, Bharathiraja, Kalki, Vinod Sagar, and Sachana Namidass.
Our review described Maharaja as a whodunit with a deceptively simple story, enhanced by a complex screenplay.
Produced by Sudhan Sundaram of Passion Studios and Jagadish Palanisamy of The Route, the film features cinematography by Dinesh Purushothaman, music by B Ajaneesh Loknath, and editing by Philomin Raj.
