Garam Masala Tea Recipe: Tea is one of the most widely consumed beverages across India, enjoyed by people of all ages. Masala tea is known for its medicinal properties and is especially beneficial for people suffering from headaches, sore throat, cold, and cough. The blend of spices used in masala tea helps boost immunity, improves digestion, and provides instant warmth and relief during changing weather conditions.

Preparing masala tea at home is simple and requires only a few easily available ingredients. With the right balance of spices, milk, and tea powder, you can enjoy a flavorful and aromatic cup of tea without any preservatives.

Ingredients Required:

  1. Water – 500 ml
  2. Milk – 500 ml
  3. Tea powder – 2 teaspoons
  4. Cardamom – 4 pods
  5. Ginger – a small crushed piece
  6. Cloves – 4
  7. Cinnamon – a small piece
  8. Bay leaf (biryani leaf) – 1
  9. Sugar – as required

Method of Preparation:

Place a vessel on the stove and add water. Add sugar and tea powder, then allow it to boil for about two minutes. Once the water turns dark brown, add cloves, cinnamon, and bay leaf, and let the mixture boil well.

Next, pour in the milk and allow it to boil for another two minutes. Add crushed cardamom and ginger, and continue boiling until the tea reduces slightly and releases a strong aroma. Once done, turn off the stove and strain the tea.

Your garam garam, flavorful masala tea is now ready to be served hot.
