New Delhi: The World Health Organization has revealed the cancer epidemic in India in its latest statistics. According to the statistics of The International Agency for Research on Cancer, 14.1 lakh cancer cases will be reported in India in 2022. 9.1 lakh people lost their lives due to cancer.
Cancers of the lips, mouth and lungs are more common in men. Breast and cervical cancers have increased in women. 27 percent of all new cases were breast and 18 percent were cervical and uterine cancers. According to the report, the number of people suffering from cancer in the last five years has reached 5.3 crore.
