The film is a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' directed by Anil Sharma. Starring Bollywood star actors Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma, the film revolves around the journey of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war. The film tells the story of Tara Singh who returns from Pakistan to save his son Charan Jeet Singh (Utkarsh Sharma) who is in jail.
