Polling for the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections began on Monday at 7 am and will end at 6 pm. Among those who voted were several celebrities, including Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who arrived at a polling station in Mumbai with her husband, Ranveer Singh. Deepika, dressed in a white shirt and blue jeans, was seen with a baby bump. Ranveer, the star of Don 3, held her hand and guided her as she exited the car and went to cast her vote. Photos and videos of the couple at the polling station have gone viral on social media.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, married since 2018, are expecting their first child in September. Meanwhile, Deepika is starring in the highly anticipated film Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin and featuring Prabhas. The movie, which has completed shooting and is in post-production, is set to release on June 27, 2024.
