Rampur: The Rampur People's Court in Uttar Pradesh has issued a non-bailable warrant for the arrest of popular actress and former MP Jayaprada. In 2019, two cases were registered against her for violating the election rules, but she did not attend their hearings. She was arrested and ordered to appear before the court on the 27th of this month.

This happened.. Jayaprada contested as an MP from Rampur on behalf of BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In this order, two cases were registered against her in Kaumari and Swar police stations for violating the election rules. They are currently under investigation by the People's Court. However, despite several notices issued as part of the investigation, she did not respond. Government counsel said that although warrants have been issued seven times, the police have not made any arrests. The court issued her a non-bailable warrant. Further hearing of this case has been postponed to the 27th of this month.
