Salman Khan starrer 'Sher Khan' was one of the most awaited films almost 12 years ago. However, the film was shelved indefinitely due to VFX-related issues. Along with Salman, comedian-actor Kapil Sharma has also been roped in for the lead role. Sohail Khan is slated to direct the project. Recently the filmmaker has now shared an update about the film. He is likely to restore Sher Khan.

Sohail recently attended a Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) promotional event. There he spoke to News18's Shosha about the details of the project. Talking about the reason for putting the film on the back burner, Sohail said, “It (VFX) is an area where technology is growing at the forefront. Every time we finish scripting Shere Khan, I watch another Marvel film. What I've written, what I want the action to be, makes me feel backdated. "I know that by the time the film comes out, it will look back-dated," he said.
