Recently, the director and producer have come up with an update. Vivek Agnihotri revealed that The Delhi Files will go on the sets this year and be released next year. "As per the schedule TheDelhiFiles Movie Productions Work will start this year, and movie release next year, no big stars, just big content," said Vivek Agnihotri. Abhishek Agarwal also confirmed the director's statement by tagging the film's title. Presented by Tej Narayan Aggarwal and jointly produced by Abhishek Aggarwal Arts and I Am Buddha Productions.

The film is produced by Abhishek Aggarwal, Archana Aggarwal, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri Pallavi Joshi. The makers are said to announce more details about this project soon. Earlier, film critic Sumit Kadel made a post on social media. Sumit mentioned in this post that many actors have lost their appeal after the Karoma epidemic. It is stated that most of the big films announced officially and unofficially are not releasing now and currently only 2-3 actors can guarantee a huge opening. He said that film producers do not want to take risks in such situations. Responding to this tweet, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's 'The Delhi Files' shooting will begin as per schedule.
