Case Registers Against Fahadh Faasils Film PainkilIi By Kerala Human Rights Commission
A case has been registered against Fahadh Faasil's Painkili unit for shooting at Angamaly Taluk Hospital in Kerala.

The Kerala State Human Rights Commission has initiated action against the makers of the Malayalam film Painkili following reports that they filmed in the emergency wing of Angamaly Taluk Hospital in Ernakulam, causing distress to patients.
Commission member VK Beenakumari registered a case based on media reports, directing the Ernakulam District Medical Officer and the Angamaly Taluk Hospital Superintendent to explain within seven days.
According to the Commission, the film crew, including about 50 people including actors, dimmed lights and imposed restrictions in the emergency room during shooting.
The statement highlighted that filming continued despite ongoing medical treatments, impacting patient care.
The hospital, crucial for underserved communities, was portrayed inaccurately in the movie as a private institution.
State Health Minister Veena George has also intervened, seeking clarification from the health department director regarding the incident.
