'Antoni' is one of the movies that came out last year in Malayalam and got a bit of a hit Directed by Joshi, the film stars Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead role as Joju George.Now let's see how this movie is in the review.

Antony's story is:

A rowdy named Patas Xavier in a town in Kerala is killed by another rowdy Antony (Joju George) in the same town.Xavier's wife Jessie (Asha Sarath) witnesses the murder but instead of testifying against Antony, she demands some money and the house from him as compensation. Jessie also died on the day she moved to the new house and her daughter, Antony is supposed to be the guardian of Maria (Kalyani Priyadarshan). Despite being bullied at first, Maria becomes close to Antony and feels like a father to him. She shifts to Antony's house due to many conflicts in college. Some people mistake that there is something else between them when they are both fine. At the same time, Xavier's younger brother Tarzan is angry with Antony for the death of his brother Xavier and attacks his men.

How did Antony save his people from Tarzan's clutches? What magic did Maria change in Antony, who is living as a bully? Is Maria with Antony? Or? What happened in the end? You have to watch the whole movie to know the things.

Analysis:

As a story, this is not a new story, but the director has made the film to raise many doubts. There have been many stories of this type before, but the way the story of the work done with the screenplay was revealed in front of the audience is impressive. How can a man who has lost all his family members and become a fool, thinking that if he gets married and has a daughter, he will become like this after the arrival of a girl child? It seems to be the underlying point of the story. The director succeeds in telling interesting things like Maria's agony when she wants to say that she is the one who killed her father but she doesn't want his help but has to live in his shadow. How Antony saved a girl who was nothing to him, the director has written in such a way that the audience can connect emotionally.

And the climax also has to do something and the director has ended it so that a pleasant feeling comes unexpectedly. When it comes to the actors, Joju George and Kalyani Priya Darshan's acting is the highlight of this movie.Joju George played the role of a gangster. Kalyani Priyadarshan was shown as a daring and dashing girl as a mixed martial arts player. She also seems to have owned this role well. Chemban Vinod Jose's acting as the hero's mentor is good. Naila Usha and Asha Sarath acted to the extent of their roles.

When it comes to technical aspects, the background score provided by Jakes Bijoy is good. The locations chosen for this story have been brilliantly explored by Renadive.And the editing is good.

Finally Antony is a gangster drama with emotions and those who like Malayalam movies will like this movie.
