Daily updates on Dhanush's ambitious project, "Rayan," directed by himself with a substantial budget, reveal an extensive cast featuring prominent stars such as Prakash Raj, Sandeep Kishan, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Aparna Balamurali, Selva Raghavan, SJ Surya, and Dushara Vijayan. Recently, the makers unveiled the first look poster of Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, showcasing her in a deglamourized appearance.

Dhanush, in his 50th directorial venture, is passionately working on this project. Contrary to earlier rumors, it was speculated that Dhanush's brother and director, Selva Raghavan, had written the script, which he promptly denied. Dhanush clarifies that "Rayan" is his dream project, and he has personally crafted the storyline while taking on the role of the lead actor.

The film boasts a new look for Dhanush and follows an action-oriented storyline, with national actress Aparna Balamurali adopting a de-glamourized appearance. The recently released first look poster of Varalakshmi Sarathkumar also showcases a distinct portrayal. Scheduled for release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages later this year, the first look posters of "Rayan" are gaining widespread attention on social media. Renowned composer AR Rahman is credited with the film's musical composition.
