Amidst his ongoing project, "Vettayayan," directed by TJ Gyanvel of "Jai Bheem" fame, which has already completed over 70% of its shooting, fans eagerly anticipate his next venture, "Thalaivar 171," helmed by none other than Lokesh Kanagaraj.

In an interview discussing the progress of "Thalaivar 171," director Lokesh Kanagaraj expressed his excitement about working with Rajinikanth. He shared, "Thalaivar 171 holds a special place in my heart. While pre-production work is underway, we anticipate commencing shooting in June. I aim to complete the film within a year and a half and then proceed with 'Khaidi 2'."
