Samantha will star opposite Vijay in "Thalapathy 69," marking his 69th film. Directed by H Vinod, not Karthik Subbaraju as initially rumored, this project follows Vijay's upcoming film "GOAT." Directed by Venkat Prabhu, "GOAT" features Vijay in dual roles and is set to release on September 5. "Thalapathy 69" will see Vijay reunite with Samantha after their previous successes. Cinematography will be handled by Sathyan Suryan, and Anirudh will compose the music. The filming of "Thalapathy 69" is set to begin in late October or November.
