Reports suggest that the audio launch event for Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film, "Greatest Of All Time" (GOAT), is set to take place outside India, with Malaysia or Singapore being the likely destinations. This event marks a significant moment for Vijay, who is anticipated to make a transition into full-time politics after this film, following the success of his previous movie, "Leo."

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, who is seeking a comeback after the lukewarm reception of his film "Custody," GOAT boasts a star-studded cast including Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Sneha, Laila, and Ajmal Ameer. Filming commenced in October last year, with approximately 60% of shooting already completed. The movie is set against the backdrop of the United States.

The decision to hold the audio launch abroad is likely aimed at avoiding the logistical issues that plagued Vijay's previous film. "Leo" had its planned launch in Malaysia canceled due to unforeseen circumstances and eventually took place in Chennai, but was later called off due to security concerns and pass request overflow.

With GOAT, the makers are keen to ensure a smooth and well-organized event. The film's music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and it is being produced by AGS Entertainment. Scheduled for a worldwide release on September 5, 2024, GOAT is expected to be Vijay's last film before he fully commits to his political aspirations. Earlier this year, Vijay announced his entry into politics with the launch of his party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam, aiming to contest the Tamil Nadu Elections in 2026.
