Udhayanidhi Stalin Granted Bail For 'Eradicate Sanatana Dharma' Remark
DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, was granted bail for his controversial 'eradicate Sanatana Dharma' remark. The case, initiated by social activist Paramesh, has been adjourned to August 8.

Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin was granted bail on Tuesday by a city court following his 'eradicate Sanatana Dharma' remark.
The DMK leader appeared before the 42nd Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in response to a notice issued based on a petition by social activist Paramesh regarding his statement.
Udhayanidhi Stalin, who holds the sports and youth affairs portfolio, secured bail with a surety of Rs. one lakh.
The case has been adjourned to August 8.
Udhayanidhi is the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and ruling DMK chief M.K. Stalin.
In September 2023, at a conference in Chennai, Udhayanidhi stated that Sanatana Dharma was against social justice and equality and that it should be 'eradicated' like malaria and dengue. His statement drew widespread condemnation from various quarters.
