Anil Kapoor attributes his success to Southern films

In a recent interview, Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor shared insights into his career, particularly addressing the ongoing discussion of Tollywood versus Bollywood. His comments, which have been a topic of discussion for the past few years, are currently circulating on social media.

Directors continue to choose me for substantial roles, and I consider myself fortunate in this regard. I prioritize engaging with the younger generation whenever possible, finding their new ideas intriguing. I credit my status as a hero to Southern films, as many of the movies I've worked on are remakes of successful Southern films. It's noteworthy that numerous acclaimed actors in the country have also appeared in South movie adaptations. Tollywood has consistently produced successful films in recent years, with hits like 'Baahubali,' 'KGF,' 'RRR,' and 'Pushpa.' Anil Kapoor expressed admiration for the talent in the South and emphasized the presence of compelling stories. He concluded by advocating for the unity of Indian cinema, suggesting that movies should not be divided into Tollywood and Bollywood based on language, but rather seen as Indian films.

Presently, Anil Kapoor is delighted with the success of 'Animal.' His portrayal as Ranbir's father in the film directed by Sandeep Vanga received acclaim, and the movie, which opened with sentiments related to fatherhood, witnessed significant box office success. It has been revealed that a sequel named 'Animal Park' is in the works.
