According to a recent national media report, AR Rahman has become the music director with the highest assets in India, valued at around 1728 crores, including real estate and chattels. Known for his iconic songs in the 1990s, he delivered super hit music for movies like "Bombay," "Roja," "Gentlemen," "Rangeela," "Premikudu," "Jeans," and "Dil Se."
AR Rahman has won numerous awards, including Oscars, Grammys, national awards, private awards, and the Padma Bhushan. He has earned significantly from both movie songs and outside shows, reportedly charging three crores per song.
Despite his wealth and high remuneration, fans note that AR Rahman's recent work lacks the magic of his earlier hits.
