Film actor and producer Bandla Ganesh was sentenced to one year in jail. Second Additional Munsiff Magistrate of Ongole P. Bhanusai imposed imprisonment and fine in the case of a dishonored check given for payment of arrears.

Bandlaganesh had to pay Rs.95 lakhs to a person named Jetti Venkateshwarlu, but the cash was given in the form of a cheque. Venkateswarlu took the check to the bank to cash it and it bounced as there was no cash in the account. He approached the court on this.

The Magistrate who investigated the case sentenced the accused to one-year imprisonment and fined Rs.95.10 lakhs. He ruled that Rs.95 lakh of the fine should be paid as compensation to the plaintiff. The court has given one month to appeal this verdict.
