MAA Association Complains to Telangana DGP Over Trolling
The Movie Artistes' Association (MAA) has lodged a complaint with the Telangana DGP regarding online trolling.

Siva Balaji, Rajeev Kanakala, and senior actor Sivakrishna represented MAA in the meeting with the DGP. They urged action against individuals spreading defamatory content and obscene propaganda against MAA and its members on social media. Specifically, MAA requested the banning of five YouTube channels accused of such activities. They highlighted that 25 YouTube channels have already been terminated due to similar violations.
During the meeting, MAA emphasized the detrimental impact of trolling, equating it to terrorism and condemning its use against female artists. They stressed the distress caused to families and the damage to reputations through character defamation and malicious portrayals. The DGP responded positively, pledging support for a dedicated cybercrime team to address these issues effectively. Shiva Balaji underscored the importance of cooperation between law enforcement and the film industry in combating such misconduct, emphasizing the need for boundaries in all actions.
