Holding the record for the highest number of subscribers among Telugu YouTubers, Shanmukh recently made headlines when the police, investigating a case involving his brother Sampath, discovered cannabis in their possession.

Sampath, Shanmukh's elder brother, is set to marry Vinay in a few days. However, a woman named Monika filed a case against Sampath, alleging that he had been in a relationship with her for ten years and is now deceiving her by planning to marry another woman. During the police investigation into this matter, approximately 16 grams of cannabis were seized from Shanmukh and his brother. This incident quickly went viral.
