"Indian 2," directed by Shankar and starring Kamal Haasan, is the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster "Indian." The action thriller recently completed its censor processes and received a 'U/A' certificate, with the Censor Board advising some muted words. The film's runtime is 3 hours and 4 minutes.

Shankar, confident in the story, did not compromise on the runtime. Recent films like "Animal," "Salaar," and "Kalki 2898 AD" have shown that audiences will stay for longer movies if the content is compelling. The audience's response to "Bharateeyudu 2" remains to be seen. 

The film will be released on July 12 in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.

Promotional activities are in full swing, and the first look, teaser, songs, and trailer have heightened expectations. Kamal Haasan reprises his role as a general fighting corruption and bribery. The cast includes Siddharth, SJ Surya, Rakul Preet Singh, and others. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music, and Subhaskaran produced the film under Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies.
