Despite high expectations following their successful collaboration in the past, the sequel "Indian-2" failed to resonate with audiences. Released on the 12th of this month, the film received negative reviews from the outset, leading to a significant decline in collections after an initial strong opening day. Theatrical rights were sold for ₹161 crore worldwide, with the film initially earning ₹28.88 crore on its first day. However, collections sharply declined thereafter, especially outside Tamil Nadu. In Telugu states, where rights were sold for ₹25 crore, the film only managed to collect ₹12 crore by the end of its first weekend. This poor performance has resulted in substantial losses for distributors, marking "Indian-2" as a major disappointment in the Telugu market.
