Malayalam super hit movie 'Premalu' on OTT

In recent times, Malayalam and Tamil films have gained increasing popularity among movie enthusiasts, attracting audiences in the southern regions. Notably, the recent OTT release of the film 'Joe' received an extensive and positive response as a captivating love story, that connects with the youth and achieves unexpected success. Now, another movie is gaining attention, titled 'Love,' a blockbuster hit in Malayalam. This love comedy-drama, produced with a budget of Rs. 3 crores, was released on February 9 and has already collected more than Rs. 63 crores, poised to become the highest grosser in a few days. The makers are gearing up to release the film in Telugu as well, following a recent streaming agreement with the popular OTT platform Disney Plus Hot Star.

While the streaming date on Hot Star remains undisclosed, 'Premalu' will have a direct theatrical release in Telugu, with Director Rajamouli's son, Karthikeya, overseeing its release in the Telugu states. The Telugu dubbing work is reportedly in progress, and an official announcement with a new poster has been released. However, the exact release date for the Telugu version is yet to be revealed, though there are talks in the film circles suggesting a release date of March 8. It's worth noting that the movie was shot against the backdrop of Hyderabad.
