Despite being released in theaters on January 12th with high expectations and directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film fell short of meeting box office expectations. Now, the murder mystery thriller "Merry Christmas" is gearing up for its OTT release, with Netflix securing the digital streaming rights. While it is anticipated to stream on Netflix from March 8, there has been no official confirmation yet.

Netflix has entered into an OTT deal with the makers of "Merry Christmas," allowing it to be available for streaming eight weeks after its theatrical release. According to this arrangement, the movie is scheduled to be available for streaming on March 8.

The film is expected to be available in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages. Starring Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif as the lead actors, the cast also includes Ashwini Kalsekhar, Luke Kenny, Pari Maheshwari Sharma, Sanjay Kapoor, Tinu Anand, Radhika Apte, and Gayathri in significant roles. "Merry Christmas" is a bilingual film in Hindi and Tamil. Director Sriram Raghavan returned to filmmaking after a considerable gap following "Andhadhun." The music for the film is composed by Pritham and Daniel B George. Produced by Ramesh Taurani, Jaya Taurani, Sanjay Routrey, and Kewal Garg under the banners of TIPS Films and Matchbox Pictures, the movie had a budget of approximately Rs.60 crores but failed to perform well at the box office, collecting less than Rs.30 crores.
