After the box office success of Ajay Devgan's last film, Vikas Bahl's home invasion drama Shaitaan, Ajay Devgan's fans can't wait to see him in a completely new avatar at Maidan. On the occasion of his 55th birthday, the makers unveiled the final trailer of Maidaan.

What's in the trailer?

The latest trailer builds on the first one released two weeks ago. It starts with Priyamani giving a pep talk to her husband Syed Abdul Rahim played by Ajay. In the 1950s, she praised him for believing that India could achieve football glory in the newly independent nation's imminent Olympics.

Against Gajraj Rao's authoritarian role, we see Ajay Syed Abdul Rahim picking young footballers from the margins, India building an underdog team, player-wise. However, as we see later in the trailer, not only does Ajay and his team face formidable competition in the stadium, but there is also boos from the stadium crowd and a protesting crowd outside, demanding that India "go back".
