Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 1: Vicky Kaushal's Film Scores Record ₹31 Crore

Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava has become his biggest box office opener as a leading man, earning Rs 31 crore on Day 1, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The film, directed by Laxman Utekar, portrays Kaushal as Sambhaji Maharaj and has become the highest Hindi opener of 2025, surpassing Sky Force (Rs 15.3 crore). Interestingly, Chhaava’s opening collections are roughly equal to the combined earnings of Vicky's last six films—Bad Newz (Rs 8 crore), Sam Bahadur (Rs 5 crore), The Great Indian Family (Rs 1 crore), Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (Rs 5 crore), Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship (Rs 5 crore), and Uri (Rs 8 crore).

Released on Valentine’s Day, Chhaava had over 1300 shows in the Mumbai region, with an occupancy rate of 42%. In Delhi-NCR, it had the same number of shows but with a 27% occupancy. Despite competition from Captain America: Brave New World (which earned Rs 4.3 crore on Day 1), Chhaava is expected to dominate the box office.

The film stars Rashmika Mandanna and Divya Dutta. Meanwhile, films like Loveyapa and Badass Ravikumar are struggling at the box office, with Chhaava likely to take over their shows.
