Mark vs 45 Box Office Day 2: Kiccha Sudeep Film Leads Kannada Collections

Mark, led by Kiccha Sudeep, and the multi-hero film 45, starring Shivaraj Kumar, Upendra, and Raj B Shetty, continued to post encouraging results at the ticket counters on their second day of release. The films maintained steady momentum on Friday, December 26, 2025, despite facing a regular working weekday.

Even with weekday constraints, both Kannada releases managed to draw audiences, signaling positive word of mouth and strong regional appeal. While Mark remained comfortably ahead in terms of total occupancy and earnings, 45 also managed to retain a presence in select locations, particularly during evening and night shows.

Both Mark and 45, released on December 26, 2025, demonstrated stable box office traction on Day 2. Mark collected an estimated Rs 12.10 crore over two days, while 45 reached approximately Rs 7.5 crore. Mark saw strong performance in Tumakuru, Shivamogga, and Mysuru, whereas 45 received its best response in Tumakuru.

Mark Box Office Day 2: Firm Hold Across Karnataka

On its second day, Mark recorded an overall Kannada occupancy of 43.05 percent, a solid outcome for a weekday release. Audience turnout increased steadily as the day progressed. Morning shows began at a moderate 21.15 percent, which is typical for a working Friday. Occupancy improved notably in the afternoon at 46.54 percent and remained strong through the evening at 50.41 percent, peaking during night shows at 54.10 percent. This upward trend reflected growing audience interest and favorable post-release buzz, according to Sacnilk data.

From a regional perspective, Mark performed exceptionally well in several tier-2 and interior markets. Tumakuru emerged as the top-performing center with an impressive 84.75 percent overall occupancy, supported by nearly full afternoon (99 percent), evening (96 percent), and night (93 percent) shows. Shivamogga followed closely at 80.25 percent, with evening shows reaching a striking 96 percent, highlighting overwhelming viewer enthusiasm. Mysuru also proved to be a strong territory, registering 71 percent overall occupancy, with evening and night shows exceeding the 80 percent mark.

Raichur posted a healthy 64.25 percent occupancy, particularly strong during afternoon shows at 80 percent, indicating solid turnout from family and mass audiences. Hubballi recorded a steady 40.50 percent, while Bengaluru stood at 39.75 percent, showing consistent growth from morning through night across 359 shows. Coastal and university hubs such as Kundapura (39.50 percent) and Manipal (25.75 percent) delivered moderate yet stable numbers, with better performance during night screenings.

However, the film experienced relatively weaker traction in Belagavi (20 percent) and Mangaluru (19.50 percent), where overall attendance remained low despite minor improvements during late shows.

Financially, Mark had a strong opening with Rs 8.60 crore India net on Day 1. It added an estimated Rs 3.5 crore on Day 2, taking its two-day total to approximately Rs 12.10 crore, firmly positioning it as the leading film at the box office.

45 Box Office Day 2: Limited Gains, Stronger Nights

In comparison, 45 registered lower occupancy figures on Day 2 but still managed respectable results in select markets. The film followed a typical weekday trend, with subdued morning attendance and improved footfalls during evening and night shows.

Tumakuru once again stood out, this time for 45, recording a solid 61.75 percent overall occupancy. Night shows peaked at an impressive 82 percent, underlining strong local support for the veteran cast. Mysuru followed with 43.75 percent occupancy, where afternoon and night shows crossed the 50 percent mark. Bengaluru, across 348 shows, achieved 32.75 percent occupancy, a reasonable figure given the stiff competition.

Shivamogga (32 percent), Hubballi (28.50 percent), and Raichur (29.25 percent) reported average but stable attendance, with night shows outperforming earlier slots. Coastal regions such as Kundapura (27 percent) benefited from strong late-night turnout at 59 percent, while Belagavi (25.75 percent) showed gradual improvement as the day progressed.

On the downside, centers like Mangaluru (11.25 percent), Manipal (15 percent), and Kalaburagi (10.25 percent) struggled to attract audiences, particularly during morning and afternoon shows.

From a revenue standpoint, 45 opened with Rs 5.50 crore India net on Day 1. It added around Rs 2 crore on Day 2, bringing its two-day total to approximately Rs 7.5 crore.

Overall Verdict

Both films demonstrated resilience on a working Friday, but Mark clearly dominated Day 2 with stronger occupancies across most regions and a significantly higher cumulative box office total. While 45 lagged behind, it found notable support in select markets and during late shows. The upcoming weekend is expected to play a decisive role in determining how effectively each film can build on its early momentum.
