Gujarati filmmaker Mahesh Jirawala was officially confirmed dead in the Ahmedabad plane crash following a DNA test. His burnt Activa scooter and switched-off phone were found at the site, aiding identification. Though initially in shock, his family accepted the tragic reality after the evidence was presented.

Known for his work in music videos and a 2019 film, Jirawala is survived by his wife, daughter, and son. The devastating crash claimed around 270 lives, with 231 DNA identifications completed and 210 bodies returned to families so far.
