New guidelines have been implemented in Hindu temples across the country, where only those wearing traditional attire are allowed to enter. In this context, actress Rakul Preet Singh made significant comments on the need for traditional clothing in temples. She suggested that everyone should wear appropriate clothing when visiting spiritual places. Rakul made these remarks at Lakme Fashion Week. She expressed her opinion that public figures should always act responsibly, no matter what they do.

Regarding fashion, she believes that dressing should be appropriate for the occasion. She mentioned that when visiting a temple, people should wear traditional attire suitable for the visit. She also suggested wearing workout clothes while going to the gym and dressing according to the occasion when going for dinner. She emphasized the importance of wearing attire that suits the occasion. Meanwhile, dress codes for devotees have been implemented at major temples across the country.

It is known that in January this year, a dress code was implemented at the famous Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai. The temple trust stated that men should wear dhotis or lungis, and women should wear sarees or salwar kameez, and only traditional Indian clothing is allowed to enter the temple. It was prohibited to wear short clothes or outfits that reveal the body in the temple premises. Restrictions have been placed, stating that devotees must only wear traditional attire when visiting the temple. Dress codes are already being enforced in major temples in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala.
