Tamannaah Opens Up: Why Fear Getting Older?

Tamannaah Questions the Fear of Aging in Film Industry

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India: Actress Tamannaah Bhatia recently spoke about the evolving attitude of the film industry towards women and the concept of aging. Reflecting on her journey, she said that she has noticed a positive transformation in how filmmakers now approach female characters in their 30s.

Tamannaah, who made her debut as a performer in the song “Aaj Ki Raat” from Stree 2 last year and later starred in Odela 2, continues to explore diverse roles and appearances on screen. Speaking in a recent interview, she questioned why society treats aging as something negative.

“There’s been a refreshing shift in cinema today. Filmmakers are crafting well-rounded, mature characters for actresses that reflect their age and experience,” Tamannaah said. “Age should be embraced, not feared. It’s a natural part of life, not a disease. I don’t understand why people are so afraid of it.”

She also mentioned that she was fortunate to be part of this change early in her career, as directors began offering more layered and meaningful roles even when she was in her twenties.

Tamannaah Bhatia will next appear alongside Shahid Kapoor in Oh Romeo, an upcoming action thriller directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
