LIK OTT Release: Futuristic Love Story to Stream on Prime Video May 6

LIK OTT Release on Amazon Prime Video

Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest film LIK (Love Insurance Company), a futuristic romantic drama, is gearing up for its digital debut after its theatrical release in April. The film will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video from May 6, with Telugu audio also available for audiences.

Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film blends romance with a futuristic concept and is presented with his signature style of humor. Krithi Shetty plays the female lead opposite Pradeep Ranganathan, while S. J. Suryah appears in a key antagonist role.

Set in the year 2040, the film explores a world where “love insurance” has become a business opportunity. Surya (S.J. Suryah) establishes a company that capitalizes on the emotional vulnerabilities of youth by introducing a specialized mobile application. This app allows users to connect with potential partners—leading either to marriage or breakup based on compatibility.

Deema (Krithi Shetty), a social media enthusiast, subscribes to the app in search of a suitable partner. Meanwhile, Vasu, who lives in an “Organic Living World” and avoids modern technology, eventually joins the platform due to a promise made to his father. Despite their contrasting lifestyles, Vasu falls in love with Deema at first sight.

However, complications arise when the app assigns a low “Love Score” to their relationship, resulting in a forced breakup. Determined to win back his love, Vasu challenges the system and confronts Surya, whom he holds responsible for the outcome. The rest of the story unfolds around whether Vasu succeeds in reclaiming his love and how he deals with the forces manipulating relationships.
