When a terrorist exchange mission goes wrong, Harman turns against everything his father stands for, and the film explores whether love can heal such deep damage.
Pluses
- Kajol's powerful performance brings emotional depth.
- Cinematography beautifully captures Kashmir.
- Fast-paced with consistent tension and drama.
- Action sequences are gritty and well-executed.
Minuses
- The screenplay lacks cohesion, with half-formed ideas and an unfocused narrative that struggles to hold together.
- Abrupt character changes lack clear motivation.
- Poor dubbing for Prithviraj disrupts immersion.
- Ibrahim’s performance lacks emotional depth in key moments.
Verdict
- Sarzameen has strong themes and a promising setup, but lacks narrative clarity and emotional impact. Watch it only if you're curious about the story or want to see Kajol in a compelling role. Otherwise, it's a missed opportunity weighed down by inconsistent execution.
