Thammudu Movie Review
In Thammudu, Nithiin portrays a man drawn into the heart of a tribal land, compelled by a heartfelt vow to his sister and a growing duty to defend its people. While the premise has emotional potential, poor execution and a weak screenplay let it down.
Story:
Nithiin’s character enters a tribal region to honor a promise, forming a bond with its people while overcoming challenges.
Analysis:
- Director Venu Sriram, known for emotional narratives, struggles with clarity and pace. The first half feels dragged, and even with Dil Raju’s backing, the production feels subpar. A few moments shine in the second half.
Performances:
- Nithiin is sincere but lacks emotional pull. Saptami Gowda, and others. Surab Satyadev is effective as the villain.
Technical Aspects:
- Background score by Anjanish Loknath is a highlight. Cinematography is average; editing needed more sharpness.
Pros:
- Nithiin’s performance
- Action scenes
- Some emotional beats
Cons:
- Weak writing
- Poor direction
- Sluggish first half
Rating: 2.25
