Adani Green Becomes First Company in India With 10,000 MW

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) announced on Wednesday that it has made available a new solar energy capacity of 2,000 MW at Khawda Solarpark in Gujarat. With this, it has become the first company in the country to have a renewable energy capacity of 10,000 megawatts. The total operating portfolio of the company currently stands at 10,934 MW.

Adani Green said it has 7,393 MW of solar, 1,401 MW of wind power, and 2,140 MW of wind-solar hybrid power capacity in its portfolio under management. The company has set a target of 45 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity by 2030. It said that with its 10,934 MW capacity, electricity will be supplied to 58 lakh houses. It said that 2.1 crore tonnes of carbon emissions could be avoided annually.
