Changes to Fastag Recharge Rules: Automatic Payments Introduced Without Prior Notifications

Changes to Fastag Recharge Rules

The government has announced changes to the Fastag recharge rules to enhance convenience for vehicle owners.

Fastag helps save time at tolls by allowing automatic payments.

Recently, the rules regarding Fastag and the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) have been updated.

Under the new rules, payments for Fastag and NCMC can be made automatically without prior notifications to users.

Users will no longer receive a notification 24 hours in advance about upcoming payments.

Users need to activate the auto-pay notifications in their UPI apps to ensure smooth transactions.

Automatic payments will occur when the balance falls below the set limit.

If users wish to disable auto-pay, they can do so manually through their UPI app without much effort.
