AP Anganwadi Jobs 2026: The Andhra Pradesh government will fill 7,000 vacant Anganwadi posts as part of its initiative to strengthen the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) system across the state.

State Minister Sandhya Rani stated that the government is taking proactive steps to enhance the efficiency and outreach of Anganwadi services. She emphasized that the recruitment drive aims to improve service delivery to beneficiaries, including pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children below six years of age.

Currently, nutritious meals and supplementary nutrition are being provided through 55,746 Anganwadi Centres operating under 257 ICDS projects statewide. The Minister noted that attendance at Anganwadi Centres has significantly improved, rising from 70 percent to 96 percent. She attributed this growth to the government’s focused administrative and welfare measures.

The recruitment of 7,000 posts is expected to further strengthen grassroots child development and maternal welfare services in Andhra Pradesh.
