AP DSC 2026 Notification Teacher Posts: Eligibility, Details and Online Application Process

AP DSC 2026 Notification

The Government of Andhra Pradesh is preparing to release a fresh DSC (District Selection Committee) notification for approximately 3,600 teacher posts across the state. The notification is expected to be announced as a special initiative ahead of the Ugadi festival.

According to official sources, the Education Department has accelerated the process to address the shortage of teaching staff in various government institutions. Vacancies include PGT and TGT posts in model schools, teacher positions in BC, SC and ST welfare gurukul institutions, and several openings in schools functioning under different educational societies.

No Changes in DSC Syllabus

Officials indicate that there will be no changes to the existing DSC syllabus. The syllabus notified last year is likely to remain applicable for this recruitment as well, allowing candidates to continue preparation without any modifications.

Similar to the previous recruitment cycle, age relaxation is expected. The maximum age limit is likely to remain 44 years for general category candidates, while SC, ST, BC and EWS candidates may receive relaxation up to 49 years.

As per the existing pattern, 20 percent weightage will be given to TET marks, while 80 percent of the selection weightage will be based on the DSC written examination. The examination is expected to be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

Finance Department Approval Awaited

Currently, officials are finalizing district-wise roster points in accordance with reservation norms. After completion, the proposal will be forwarded to the Finance Department for approval. Once the notification is issued, the recruitment examination is expected to be conducted within 45 to 60 days.

Education experts advise aspiring candidates to intensify their preparation without waiting for the official announcement.
