Tesla is poised to unveil Robotaxis on August 8th.

The electric vehicle manufacturer, Tesla, is gearing up to introduce a new product to the market soon. According to a post by Tesla chief Elon Musk on X, the company will unveil the 'Robotaxi' on August 8, 2024. This announcement comes shortly after a Reuters report suggested that the company intends to abandon its production plans.

The report also indicates that Elon Musk has instructed his team to fully commit to the development of robotaxis based on the company's small-vehicle platform. This news has delighted millions of followers.  Wow, I can't wait to see a Tesla without a steering wheel,  commented one X user. Another expressed the hope of concurrently inventing a compact car and a robotaxi, stating,  I expect designs and manufacturing methods for both. Please don't delay, especially the compact car,  posted user X. Previously, the company had indicated plans to deploy the robotaxis by 2019 and 2020, but those plans did not come to fruition.

In response to a Reuters report suggesting Tesla's cancellation of plans to produce low cost EVs, the publication was labeled as spreading misinformation. The company reaffirms its commitment to delivering an affordable EV with a starting price of $24,000.  Reuters lied (again),  wrote Elon Musk. Musk has previously announced that a more affordable EV will be developed on the electric car company's next-generation vehicle platform.
