Earlier in July, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the acquisition of 1,389.5 hectares for the project. Progress includes 350 kilometers of pier foundations, 316 kilometers of pier constructions, 221 kilometers of girder casting, and 190 kilometers of girder launching. Additionally, work has begun on a critical 21-kilometer undersea tunnel.
The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has also advanced the installation of noise barriers, each standing 2 meters high and weighing around 830-840 kg, to reduce noise pollution.
Notably, construction is underway on the 1.4-kilometer Narmada River bridge, the longest river bridge in Gujarat's section of the project. This bridge features deep well foundations, with the deepest reaching 77.11 meter taller than the Qutub Minar. These achievements highlight the project's potential to transform transportation in India, driving economic and technological growth.
