Dubai Telugu Association T10 Cricket League in Umm Al Quwain UAE

Umm Al Quwain: The Dubai Telugu Association successfully organised a T10 cricket league, bringing together Telugu expatriates from across the United Arab Emirates in a vibrant display of sportsmanship and cultural unity.

At a time when unverified information circulating on social media has created uncertainty among expatriates, the association conducted this tournament to foster enthusiasm and community engagement.

According to General Secretary Uggina Dinesh, the matches commenced at 10:00 AM and continued until midnight, witnessing enthusiastic participation from players and spectators alike. Officials from the Community Development Authority (CDA), including Masood Al Balushi, Abdullah Al Mansoori, and Abdullah Samail, attended the event as chief guests. They distributed T-shirts to participants and appreciated the spirit and discipline demonstrated by the Telugu community in the UAE.

Recognised by the Dubai government, the Dubai Telugu Association continues to play a key role in promoting Indian culture, arts, and sports among expatriates.

The tournament was conducted in a T10 format in association with Unicorn, featuring 24 teams competing across five knockout stages. A total of 23 matches were played across six grounds. Andhra Warriors advanced to the final stage based on their superior run rate, while DGA Royals secured their place through the pre-final stage.

In the final, DGT Royals emerged as champions. Andhra Warriors finished as first runners-up, while Kirak Telugu Boys secured the second runner-up position.

Individual performances were also recognised. Anil of DGT Royals was named Man of the Match in the final, while Junglee from Kirak Telugu Boys received the Man of the Tournament and Best Batsman awards. Raju Yadav was awarded Best Bowler, and Ramakanth earned the Best Fielder title.

The event received support from REITZ Middle East and Diamond Land Properties. Key organisers included Rajiv Chintakayala and Nelson, along with Chairman Masiuddin, Vice Chairman Sudarshan, Cultural and Community Director Sridhar, Marketing Director Ambedkar, and other members.
