India Cricket Team Meeting With PM Modi After World Cup Win

Team India recently received a grand homecoming after winning the World Cup, marking an end to their campaign hosted by the West Indies-USA.

The players were warmly welcomed and had a special meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this meeting, which included breakfast, Modi personally congratulated each player.

After the meeting, the team departed for the airport to head to Mumbai. A roadshow is scheduled for 5 PM, followed by a felicitation ceremony at Wankhede Stadium.

Prime Minister Modi had also reached out to the team on the day of the final to offer his congratulations.

This World Cup victory is significant as it comes after 11 years since India last won the ODI World Cup under MS Dhoni’s leadership. Additionally, it took 17 years for India to secure their second T20 World Cup win.
