The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026, conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs), witnessed participation from 92,344 candidates, marking a 17% increase from the previous year. This year, 75,009 aspirants registered for the Undergraduate (UG) programme, while 17,335 candidates opted for the Postgraduate (PG) course.

The exam took place on December 7, 2025, across 156 centers in 25 states, 93 cities, and four union territories, aimed at admission to India’s prestigious National Law Universities (NLUs).

The provisional answer key is scheduled to be published on the official CLAT website at 5 pm on December 10, 2025. Candidates who wish to challenge any questions or answers can submit their objections until 5 pm on December 12, 2025, via the official objection portal.

The exam witnessed high participation, with 96.83% of UG applicants and 92.45% of PG candidates appearing for the test. The overall male-to-female ratio among the candidates stood at approximately 0.72:1, reflecting significant engagement from students nationwide.
