Hyderabad: The results of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 were officially announced on Thursday, March 19. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their results through the official website by logging in with their enrollment ID, email address, password, and captcha.

Along with the results, candidates can download their scorecards, which include details such as All India Rank (AIR) and qualifying status. The final answer key for GATE 2026 has also been published on the official portal. The GATE score will remain valid for a period of three years from the date of result declaration.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, the organizing institute for GATE 2026, is also releasing the list of toppers across all 30 subject papers. This list includes the names of top candidates, their respective disciplines, raw marks out of 100, and their GATE scores.

In addition, IIT Guwahati has announced the minimum qualifying cut-off marks for each subject, including Computer Science (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Data Science (DA), and Civil Engineering (CE), among others. Only candidates who meet or exceed these cut-off marks will be eligible to participate in the GATE counselling process. Admission cut-offs for institutes such as IITs and NITs will be declared separately.

The GATE 2026 examination was conducted in online mode on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 at various centers across the country. This year, nearly 7 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, covering 30 different papers.

Based on GATE scores, candidates will be eligible for admission to postgraduate programs such as MTech and PhD in premier institutions across India for the academic year 2026–27. Additionally, several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also consider GATE scores for recruitment.
