IAS and IPS are the Indian Forest Service (IFS).UPSC conducts the selection process for this service under the Central Forest Department as well. Key Information:

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with at least one subject in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, or Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture/Forestry (or) Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Final-year candidates can also apply.

Age: Should be between 21 years to 32 years as of 1st August 2024. SC and ST candidates get a relaxation of five years and OBC candidates three years.

Selection Process: The Indian Forest Service follows a three-tier selection process for selection of candidates. There will be a Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Personality Test/Personal Interview.
