UPSC NDA 2 2025 Notification Released
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (II) for 2025. This is a great opportunity for youth aspiring to join the Indian Armed Forces and serve the nation.
Selected candidates will get admission to the 156th NDA Course and the 118th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC), starting from July 1, 2026. Upon successful completion of the course, they will be appointed to permanent positions. Unmarried male and female candidates can apply online by June 17, 2025.
A total of 406 vacancies will be filled through this exam. Out of these, 370 posts are under NDA, which includes 208 for Army, 42 for Navy, and 120 for Air Force. Specifically, the Air Force has 92 vacancies for Flying Branch, 18 for Ground Duty (Technical), and 10 for Ground Duty (Non-Technical).
The Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme) has 36 vacancies, of which 4 are reserved for women. Candidates applying for Army Wing should have passed 12th in any stream, while those applying for Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy must have passed 12th with Physics and Mathematics. Candidates currently studying in the 12th grade can also apply.

Eligible candidates must be born between January 2, 2007, and January 1, 2010. The last date to apply is June 16, 2025. The application fee is ₹100 for general category candidates, while SC/ST and female candidates are exempt.
The written exam will be held on September 14, 2025. The selection process involves two stages – a written exam followed by an SSB Interview, Personality Test, and Medical Examination.
The written exam includes two objective-type papers: Mathematics (300 marks) and General Ability (600 marks), with negative marking for wrong answers. Candidates qualifying in the NDA/NA or 10+2 technical entry schemes will be eligible for free admission into BA, BSc, or B.Tech courses, and successful graduates will be offered positions in Defence or Naval services.
