SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship Program
One of SBI’s flagship education initiatives is the SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship, also known as the SBI Asha Scholarship Program. This scheme is designed to help talented students from economically disadvantaged families continue their education. The program is administered by the SBI Foundation.
The scholarship supports students across India by covering education costs for thousands of beneficiaries. Around Rs 90 crore is distributed each year to approximately 23,230 students under this program.
Scholarship Duration and Renewal
The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship is awarded on a yearly basis and is not a one-time grant. Eligible students can renew the scholarship every year until they complete their course, provided they continue to meet the required criteria such as minimum academic performance and family income limits.
Scholarship Amount Details
- School Students (Class 9 to 12):
Rs 15,000 up to Rs 50,000 per year
- Undergraduate Students (UG):
Up to Rs 75,000 per year
- Postgraduate, IIT, IIM, and Overseas Studies:
Up to Rs 20 lakh, depending on course fees
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must be an Indian citizen
Annual family income should generally fall between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 8 lakh, depending on the specific scheme
Student must have scored 75 percent or above or 7 CGPA in the previous examination

Reservation Benefits
