40 Huts, 6 Tents Destroyed In Fire At Maha Kumbh, No Injuries Reported

Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 LIVE Updates: Over 8.26 crore devotees have taken a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, as the grand spiritual gathering continues. On the eighth day of the event, the world’s largest religious congregation sees millions of pilgrims participating.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after a fire broke out in Sector 19 of the Kumbh venue, caused by an explosion of two gas cylinders. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. CM Yogi reviewed preparations for the upcoming cabinet meeting and the Mauni Amavasya Amrit Snan. He also attended the Morari Bapu Katha session and met with Shankaracharya and other saints.

The Mahakumbh, which takes place once every 12 years, will continue in Prayagraj until February 26. The 45-day event is expected to draw over 40 crore devotees and visitors from around the world.
