Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, India: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is gearing up for another major satellite mission. The Launch Vehicle Mark-3 (LVM-3), India’s most powerful rocket designed to carry heavy payloads, is now ready for its next launch.

Sriharikota, October 28: ISRO, known for its continuous advancements in space technology, is preparing to launch the CMS-03 communication satellite from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on November 2. The LVM-3 rocket, which will carry the satellite, reached the launch site on Sunday.

The upcoming mission aims to deploy a multi-band communication satellite that will enhance communication services across a wide maritime region, including Indian territories. The CMS-03 satellite, weighing around 4,400 kilograms, is designed to serve civil, strategic, and naval communication needs.

This launch marks India’s first attempt to place such a heavy satellite into geostationary orbit. The same LVM-3 vehicle previously powered India’s successful Chandrayaan-3 mission. So far, this rocket model has been used four times, proving its reliability in carrying out complex space operations.
