Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India: An Indian teenager allegedly killed his parents before dying by suicide in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, in a deeply disturbing incident that has shocked the expatriate community.

The tragedy occurred on Thursday in the Hara district of Riyadh, an area known for its significant Telugu expatriate population. The deceased has been identified as Yezra Prabhakar, the only son of Gali Ravi and Gali Sridevi, originally from Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh.

Ravi was employed at a bank in Riyadh, while Sridevi worked as a school teacher. Their son was reportedly studying at a local Indian school and was appearing for the ongoing CBSE annual examinations.

According to preliminary reports, the teenager allegedly attacked and killed his parents inside their residence. He later left the premises and died by suicide by jumping from a building at another location. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and further details are awaited.

The shocking development has left the Telugu expatriate community in Riyadh in deep grief. Members of the community described the family as socially active and well-integrated. The incident has also reignited discussions around mental health awareness and emotional well-being within expatriate families.
