Bangor, Maine, USA:  A tragic plane crash claimed seven lives in the United States after a private jet went down during a severe snowstorm in the state of Maine.

The incident occurred when a Bombardier Challenger 600 private jet crashed shortly after taking off from Bangor International Airport at around 7:45 pm on Sunday. The aircraft was carrying eight people, including passengers and crew members. According to officials, the jet lost control moments after takeoff and crashed, triggering a massive fire.

Air traffic control recordings captured the seriousness of the situation, with a voice reporting that the aircraft had turned upside down within 45 seconds of receiving takeoff clearance. At the time of the accident, a powerful blizzard was affecting large parts of the eastern United States, including the Bangor region.

Despite continuous snowfall, airport authorities said flight operations were ongoing when the crash took place. Emergency and rescue teams reached the crash site within minutes after receiving the alert.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that seven people were killed, while one crew member survived with serious injuries. The National Transportation Safety Board has launched a detailed investigation to determine the cause of the crash. Meanwhile, Bangor Airport has been temporarily closed following the incident.
